Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si.

Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Sc. who was born on July 22, 1970 is the Rector of Diponegoro University for the period 2024-2029. He completed his Bachelor of Management education at UNDIP in 1996, then continued his Masters of Science in Management at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in 2003. In 2009, he completed his Doctorate in Management Science at Padjajaran University (Unpad). He once served as Chairman of the National Leadership Council (DPN) of the Association of Faculties of Economics and Business (AFEBI) for the period 2020-2022. At the State-Owned Enterprise BUMN, he was the President Commissioner of the State Plantation Limited Company (PTPN) IX for the period 2016-2020. In addition, he is a member and founder of the Brilliant Semarang Professional Certification Institute (LSP). Serves in the field of Human Resources Provider for Assessors of the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP). He is also the founder of the Independent Accreditation Institute for Management, Business and Accounting, and the Chair of the Central Java Free Trade Agreement (FTA), Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2020 period.

He takes expertise in General Management and Organization and Management. Some of his research titles are “Perceptions of outsourcing employees on the issue of layoffs and their relationship to employee engagement”, and “Development of an entrepreneurial model based on the symbiotic career method to produce young entrepreneurs with business ethics orientation”. In addition to his research, he also wrote a book entitled “Virtual leadership monograph: testing the effectiveness of leadership in the digital era”. Until now (October 23, 2024) he has had 36 publications indexed by Scopus.
